President of the Eastern Caribbean Copyright Licensing Association Dr. Simon Jones-Hendrickson says that persons who abuse intellectual property rights would benefit in being more sensitive, empathetic and appreciative of the hard work put in by creative geniuses, and to recognize that in the end they also hurt themselves.

The newly formed ECCLA is looking to build on efforts aimed at encouraging creativity, promoting Caribbean culture and protecting the patrimony and heritage of Caribbean people.

At 50 Radio Caribbean International is still transmitting with a youthfulness and relevance which belies its age despite operating in a highly competitive media environment which includes not just over 15+ terrestrial radio stations in its native market but also because radio is omnipresent and ubiquitous in serveral forms – on-air, on-line, satellite, streaming and on demand.
